Hey there! My name is Mary Zaborskis, and I have served on the Honor Board since my freshwoman year at Bryn Mawr. The Honor Code played a huge role in my decision to come to Bryn Mawr, and I am incredibly grateful to be living in a community guided by principles of trust, respect, and accountability. Being on the board has been a wonderful, if at times taxing experience, and I’m excited for the board’s ideas for making the Honor Code and the Honor Board more visible in the coming year. In terms of my role in that, be on the lookout for Honor Code videos (Music videos? Webisodes? Stay tuned!), as well as corny and/or awesome t-shirt slogans, such as “iCode. Do you?”
On campus, you can usually find me in the hours preceding sunrise in the Lusty Cup – sometimes you can catch me doing Zumba there, but this is not a guarantee. I am double majoring in English and Psychology, and I hope to have a career in higher education someday. Until then, I work on campus for the Office of Annual Giving as a Phonathon Caller and off-campus as a babysitter extraordinaire. I have served as editor of the college news, Bryn Mawr’s feminist newspaper, for the last two years; I’m all for bringing about death to the patriarchy. I’ve also been involved in some campus productions, including three years in Eve Ensler’s Vagina Monologues. My favorite campus location is English House, and I enjoy long walks on Carpenter Beach.
